Hi, I'm Douglass Smith and I founded Douglass Yankee Craftsman a few years ago to satisfy my desire to produce fine quality hand-crafted wood products. While the Shaker Oval Boxes are my main product, I also craft other Shaker furniture including steps, candle boxes, and medicine cabinets. My love for woodworking shows in the high quality of my end products.

I have a lovely wife and three sons ages 15, 13, and 3. My older boys already share my passion for woodworking and I hope someday my little guy will too.
